A 30+ year veteran of the direct marketing, wholesale and retail industries, George Mollo has served in senior executive positions several direct marketing companies, including “start-ups” and “turn-arounds.” These companies included Lillian Vernon Corporation, Genesis Direct, Disney Direct, and J. Crew Group, Inc. and involved hands-on experience at all levels of management, including financial, operational, systems and merchandising.
In 2000, Mr. Mollo started GJM Associates, Inc. (www.gjmassociates.com) a consulting company focused on all aspects of merchandising operations for direct marketing companies. GJM Associates’ primary focus is supply-side processes, starting with merchandise analysis and planning, inventory management strategies and the critical coordination of merchandising, marketing, finance, creative and operations through all elements of the business to the ultimate and profitable fulfillment to a customer.
George started his career, spending 10+ years at Sak’s Fifth Avenue and the start-up of Kid’s R Us and then broadened his experience by spending several years working for a wholesale import distributor before entering the catalog and direct marketing industry.
